Not many of the current Inuit carvers grew up living in Igloos.
Jimmy Iqulaq, who is in his late 70's, has told me stories of living in an Igloo until he was 14.
CONDO LIFE is a special inside look at a Traditional Igloo.
This piece is calm, detailed and deeply human.
The two Inuit are seated in a very small space, which they are sharing with a freshly obtained seal and many hunting tools like harpoons.
Their cooking utensils and their current meal takes up a lot of the interior space.
Where do they sleep? Or relax?
But they appear well fed and happy.
This is the resilience of the Inuit people.
This is culture preserved in stone!
