This is an exquisite drum dancer by Peter Iqaluq from Sanikiluaq, Nunavut. Peter’s carvings are always a favorite amongst tourists who travel to the North. His style is modernistic with fine detail. He mostly carves Inuit hunters, drum dancers and kayaks.

This particular drum dancer has a nice smooth finish to it. I also admire the movement and sophistication, which exemplifies Peter Iqaluq’s style.
